About Janet Bloch

Janet Bloch has extensive experience giving professional workshops for artists interested in exhibiting their work.  She has presented workshops regularly at Chicago’s Woman Made Gallery for over a decade and has also offered her programs at Around the Coyote Foundation (Chicago), Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, IL), Suburban Fine Arts Center (Highland Park, IL) and most recently in Michigan to the Chelsea Painters and in New Mexico at Judy Chicago’s Through the Flower Foundation.

In addition, Janet Bloch earned a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  Ms. Bloch is the recipient of numerous grants including an Illinois Arts Council Visual Artists Fellowship and a National Endowment of the Arts Regional/ Midwest Fellowship.  A three time grantee of the Community Artists Assistance Program from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, Bloch has had several solo exhibits nationwide and is featured in Flatland: Imaging the Midwest at the SouthBend Regional Museum of Art in Winter 2008. Her work has been exhibited in SOFA on Navy Pier and Art Chicago. Bloch is represented in Chicago at the Linda Warren Gallery.
